Accessibility Audit Training

Accessibility Audit Training

An Accessibility Sensitization and Technical training is regarded as the first step towards improving accessibility and inclusion of all persons including those with disabilities in the society. We have designed and facilitated training on accessibility auditing for professionals and persons with disabilities to create task force of access auditors. The objective of the training is to train on access audits so that the trainees can assess the existing facilities and new sites/ buildings which will be constructed to be made fully accessible for persons with disabilities. It also benefits users with diverse access needs such as persons with reduced mobility (such as senior citizens, women in family way, people with infants or babies in strollers, temporary ill and persons carrying luggage/baggage, etc.). With the results of the training, the trainees will be better equipped to bring key changes in the built environment- school campus. This will not only make buildings/sites “Accessible to All” including employees, staff and visitors but also serve as a model of universal design.

For whom: professionals, planners, designers, architects, engineers, implementing agencies, service providers and persons with disabilities
